A multi stage approach to replacing the aging McMeeken Centre

Project Description

The Northern Community Centre is a municipally owned building which will ultimately replace the McMeeken Centre located in the city’s west end. This project is being implemented in multiple stages to suit available funding. The first phase includes two indoor artificial turf fields, dressing rooms, concession, and a public library branch. Subsequent stages include two ice pads, 1600 spectator seats, community meeting rooms, administrative offices, dressing and training rooms for two local hockey clubs as well as outdoor soccer facilities.
